Leicester City have sacked their manager, Craig Shakespeare.
After guiding Leicester to a fairytale Premier League win, Claudio Ranieri was
infamously sacked last season with the club struggling.
Shakespeare was understood to be the ‘backstabber’ the Italian referred to afterwards, however a number of players claimed he was more important in their title win than Ranieri.
He guided the club to a respectable 12th place finish while they had an impressive Champions League run, reaching the quarter-finals before losing out to Atletico Madrid.
They’ve struggled this year though and now Shakespeare has fallen on the axe.
The Foxes find themselves in 18th position with just six points from their opening eight games.
