The Big Fight: Floyd Mayweather will fight Manny Pacquiao in boxing rematch this year
For those who thought, Floyd Mayweather is done, well here is a spoiler, the retired legend is set to fight Manny Pacquaio in a boxing rematch before the end of the year.
Yes, you read it correctly, Mr Money just stunned a us as he revealed in an Instagram post that Pac Man in a boxing rematch.
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have decided to put in another big fight, a night that will surely produce a 9-figure payday.
Floyd says he and Manny will have a rematch later this year, saying;
“I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year another 9 figure pay day on the way.”
The video shows ‘Pac Man’, who beat Lucas Matthysse in July to win the WBA welterweight championship, taunting Mayweather given that he now holds one of the titles that the pair fought over three years ago.
Mayweather needed little time to respond to the 39-year-old though, replying: “I will take them from you like I did last time.”
Mayweather also mocked Pacquiao for the shoulder injury that he claimed he suffered in the fallout of their 2015 bout, which the American claimed via unanimous decision after 12 rather subdued rounds in what had been billed as the ‘Fight of the Century’.
By beating Pacquiao, Mayweather added the WBO welterweight title to the WBA, WBC, Lineal and The Ring belts that he already held, and he would only go on to fight two more times against Andre Berton and McGregor before hanging up his gloves permanently – or so it seems.
Floyd’s 50-0 and it sure seemed like the stat was right for hanging up the gloves, but he seems to be seeking one more bout.
Its kind of funny they clearly don’t hate each other, but are willing to beat the living daylights out of each other for a price and the price is right.
The first time around, Floyd won in a unanimous decision. Most of us actually called the fight boring.
