Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is set to give forward, Alexis Sanchez a new role at the club.
According to Bleacher Report, Mourinho is considering giving the Chilean star the role of playing behind a striker in his squad after he scored a late goal to ensure the Old Trafford club defeated Newcastle 3-2 in their last Premier League encounter.
Sanchez, instead of operating from his usual wing position, was played as a second striker behind Romelu Lukaku against Rafael Benitez’s men last weekend.
The report added that it would not be the 29-year-old’s last time to play behind a striker.
Sanchez, who endured a difficult start to the new season, has scored three goals for United in all competitions so far.
Mourinho’s men will take on Chelsea on October 20 in their next Premier League fixture after the international break, this weekend.
